Mediation Services: If problems arise between a P.A. and consumer, or between two personal assistants on the job (i.e., personality conflict, dispute over money or duties, time off, etc.), staff will help facilitate communica-tion and assist with conflict resolution.

In-Home Evaluations: If necessary, a staff person will do an in-depth evaluation of an individual situation.

In-Home Supportive Services: Information about IHSS will be provided to those consumers who are eligible for it. Upon request a staff person will participate in the evaluation by the Department of Social Services to de-termine the hours allotted to that indi-vidual. Advocacy is done for consum-ers who believe they cannot function with the number of hours allotted by IHSS.
