Assistive technology (AT) includes a wide array of devices, products and services - both high-tech and low-tech - that allow people with disabilities to move freely, obtain jobs and maintain their independence.

 ILRC Has AT Advocates Serving the Tri-Counties with

• Information and referral services about assistive technology  to persons with disabilities, as well as to families and service providers 
• Outreach to underserved populations and persons with all types of disabilities

 Our AT advocates main goals are to:

• Match consumers with available services, training, funding and/or other programs
• Help consumers to identify the best means to acquire, fund, fit, customize, maintain and/or repair AT devices
• Network with rehabilitation professionals, employers and people who care for persons with disabilities to discuss troubleshooting techniques with  AT equipment and to coordinate best practices
• Provide our services in conjunction with existing therapies, interventions, education and rehabilitation programs
